Abstract

The central government under National Health Mission has started National programme for prevention &

control of cancer, Diabetes, cardiovascular disease &stroke in which blood pressure, blood sugar& other

Diagnostic measures have been done for prevention of disease, As we all know that prevention is always better

than cure heart disease, also known as cardiovascular disease, refers to diseases of the blood vessels and heart.

The India Hypertension Control Initiative (IHCI) is a multi-partner initiative, implementing and scaling up a

public health hypertension control program across India. IHCI Launched in November 2017. IHCI Aim is to

strengthen the hypertension treatment component till community level. IHCI Strategies are based on WHO

HEARTS package. Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the world – in 2020, 11% of all deaths

were as a result of heart disease. Although there is not one single cause, an unhealthy diet can be one of the
