Abstract

The present study was to develop floating tablets of Flurbiprofen to achieve prolong gastric residence time, leading to an increase
in drug bioavailability and patient compliance floating tablets were prepared direct compression. The Tablet prepared and
characterized for bulk density, Tapped density, Carr’s index, Hausner’s ratio and angle of repose. Developed formulations were
evaluated for weight variation, thickness, hardness, friability, drug content, in vitro drug release. All the formulations exhibited
acceptable physical properties and best formulation was F9 was selected based on the in vitro characteristics was released 98.31 %
